BeLive Technology pilots campaign with Grab to enable users to shop via live videos

The pilot campaign, ‘Grab Live Beta’, will enable users to interact with hosts of live commerce sessions and shop in real-time 

SINGAPORE: Singapore-based live streaming solutions provider BeLive Technology is piloting a live shopping campaign with Grab, a leading superapp in Southeast Asia. The pilot, Grab Live Beta, will allow participating merchants on Grab to engage with consumers in real-time, while increasing their overall visibility and brand awareness. Grab Live Beta is currently available in Thailand and Vietnam. 

BeLive Technology has recently raised SGD 6 million in a bridge funding round, bringing the company’s total funding to SGD 10 million. The partnership with Grab reinforces BeLive Technology’s commitment to offering live streaming solutions to brands across the globe. According to Shopify’s 2022 Future of Commerce report, 46 percent of consumers want to watch product videos before they buy, with 81 percent of companies planning to either increase or maintain investment in live stream commerce to drive sales over the next 12 months. Research by J.P. Morgan shows the average online spending in Singapore is more than SGD 2,200 annually, with mobile commerce growing stronger and projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 13.6 percent by 2023.
