KEY OBJECTIVES
1. Understand customers better: While ShopBack was a regular on social media live streams, the shopping platform wanted better access to customer behavior. The company wanted to understand what its customers like, purchase, and return. Given it is a platform with multiple vendors, this could provide it with analytics to customize offerings and increase the value provided to merchant partners.
2. Revenue generation: Being a two-sided platform, ShopBack is able to generate revenue from both sides — end consumer and merchant. Seeing live commerce as an untapped opportunity, ShopBack could add a revenue generation channel to its existing product mix.
3. Better user & merchant experience: With a plethora of options as part of the user interface, ShopBack also wanted to make it more intuitive for both end consumers and merchants to get onboard the platform.
THE SOLUTION
1. User integration: BeLive, through its white label solution for ShopBack, was able to integrate ShopBack user profiles into the new product. Users who watched live streams were able to log in using their ShopBack account and make purchases. And, ShopBack admins could study live stream analytics and understand who entered the live stream and exited at what time, who clicked on the shop button, and more.
2. Unified experience: BeLive worked closely with the ShopBack product team to integrate the live streaming capabilities seamlessly into the ShopBack app, allowing users to watch live, participate in games, and shop on the same platform. Furthermore, the user interface was designed and integrated with ShopBack’s branding for a unified design and user experience.
3. Merchant packages: The partnership also allowed ShopBack to add a new revenue channel as new and existing merchants could now purchase live stream packages when they are planning to list on the ShopBack app.
