KEY OBJECTIVES

1. Bring more traffic, higher engagement: While the platform has 100 million users already, Bukalapak was on the lookout for a bigger chunk of the Indonesian e-commerce market.

2. Advanced backend implementation: Although there were ideas galore in-house, Bukalapak largely lacked the backend hardware and expertise to bring the live streaming and gaming idea to life.

THE SOLUTION

With BeLive’s support, two new products came to life: BukaLive and Live Trivia.

1. BukaLive gives all sellers access to host their own live streaming sessions from within the Bukalapak app concurrently. This feature allows them to promote new products to their potential buyers on live stream. The seller can also share product links and other information from within the live chat feature easily.

2. Live Trivia adds a new, gamified dimension to Bukalapak. The official Bukalapak channel educates audiences about featured products and sellers through live trivia games that viewers love.
